The third race in the 'Grand Tours' of Europe, the Vuelta a Espana has been raced since 1935 through the stunning landscapes of Spain. As Spain's riders continue to excel on the world stage, the Vuelta a Espana has become the race the champions want to win, particularly since the Italian Vincenzo Nibali took home the coveted red jersey in 2010.
